The following Code of Conduct has been adopted by Scottish Squash and is hereby adopted for use within Grampian Region. Notes concerning the function of the Scottish Squash Disciplinary Committee:
1. Following the reporting of an incident to the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of Scottish Squash, a meeting of the Disciplinary Committee shall be convened to discuss the complaint. A player shall be notified of the likely charge to be made against him/her and shall be requested to submit his/her views to that Committee. Communication will take place through the Secretary of Scottish Squash.
2. A player may appeal against disciplinary action taken against him or her other than against a written warning with regard to future conduct. Any appeal must be received by the Secretary of Scottish Squash in writing within 30 days of the postmark of the letter notifying the player of the disciplinary action (which letter will be sent recorded delivery).
3. Those appointed to hear the appeal may confirm, set aside, reduce or increase any penalties previously imposed. If the Appeals Committee considers the appeal to have been frivolous, it may add the cost of the appeal on to any penalty already incurred.
4 The Code of Conduct will apply in all events run under the auspices of Scottish Squash and any amendment to the Code will be published in the Scottish Squash Year Book and Newsletter. Players competing in other countries should familiarise themselves with the code of that country.
