Scottish Squash Awards

National Awards saw Scottish Squash present Stonehaven’s head coach Gerry Towler with the “Coach of the Year” award. Gerry had a busy season, which saw him being appointed as the Coach & Manager of the Scotland Junior Ladies team at the World Championships and also the U15 & U13 Home International teams. The season concluded with him being promoted  as a Head Coach at the Academy in April 2006.

Ian Brown made  it a Grampian double when Scottish Squash presented the ASRC man with the “Services to Squash” award. Ian has been actively involved both regionally and at club level, in his role as Junior Convenor. He was instrumental in providing a pathway for his juniors to develop into the adult leagues and helped to set up the Junior Leagues, which have been very much part of the Region’s Development Programme for many years.
